AT Pro at beach

Hi I have just received my AT Pro and went for a first run down the beach last night had a great time and even found $1.30 Couple of questions I had the machine set to coin on std mode. The detector seemed to beep and come up with numbers very often but when going back over the same area I could not get it to beep again is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be great as this is my first detector

You will probably need to manually lower your ground balance numbers and drop your sensitivity a little. You are experiencing some falsing due to the salt and minerals.

As you get used to the machine start trying the pro audio as well. There's more info in the tones there as you learn them.

That's falsing! A good gb will help some. Single frequency achine struggle in salt.

I have found it to be concentrations of salt sometimes.

Hunting in coin mode you are discriminating out a lot of the area that gold will come it at.
