At/Pro arrived this morning

Garrett sent my At/Pro back and it arrived today. I'll check it out later, but have errands to run for Mama and myself. Looking forward to this Saturday and hope to recover this couple's wedding ring and do a little dirt fishing for myself. Happy trails.

It's basically brand new. New speaker, main circuit board, connectors for headphone and coil, new 5 X 8 DD coil and I'd only used it a few times and wondered why I liked the 8.5 X 11 coil better. New console also. I put it together yesterday during the rain and hope to hit the water today for a couple hours at least and find this ring for these people. We got almost 3 inches of rain yesterday and last night and I know the river will be up and dirty water. HH.

Sweet! Yeah, that rain might make for some tough hunting for you today, Fongu...maybe sweep the river bank where folks peel off their clothes to go for a swim? With that small coil, you might find something good in amongst all the trash thats generally there..? Good Luck!

Rain can be your friend. When the ground is wet and you set your detector correctly it will detect deeper due to the moisture in the ground. ( Just an FYI)

The water was fine except for dirty brown, but the winds were out of the Northeast and beat me up something fierce under his boat house. I did not find the ring. I don't know what it is with the 5 X 8 coil, but I do lots better in the water with the 8.5 X 11 coil. The doors to his boat house were closed and I could just barely see and those waves really gave me a work out. Hit my head so many times on his boat lift, but I gave it an hour and a half and then went next door to the swim park and found 2 quarters, 6 dimes and 11 pennies, all clad. One piece of costume jewelry. Heading back Sunday after church to give it another try. HH.
I forgot to mention, the At/Pro worked great. When I first got started, the speaker didn't sound right, but it is working great now.

It's really nice that Garrett goes over the units so thoroughly. I've had a couple of less than stellar experiences with other outfits that just do the bare minimum and send it back. Hope you have some luck Sunday, but it isn't worth getting a concussion over, heh.
