AT Pro 6x9 concentric coil

I THINK that is the dimensions. Has anyone tried one???? It looks to be the same size as the coil that comes standard on the ACE250's. I wonder how it handles the extry power coming from the AT Pro in Pro mode??? Has anyone combed a spot with the DD coils only to go back with the Concentric coil and find stuff?? Thanks for any input. By the way, I have the 5x8 DD coil and LOVE it in trash and nails,

It is the same coil as the one on the 250, just set up for the ATP and ATG. I have used mine some, but not over an area that I had already hunted with the stock coil. I do know it doesn't provide the target separation of the DD's but it will ignore the bottlecaps that the DD's are so fond of.

I had both but found the 5 x 8 DD was both deeper and seperated better. I sold the 6 x 9 and don't even use the stock 8.5 x 11 anymore.

I just recently got the 6X9 concentric coil,I will keep it on and not use the stock DD coil. I find it pinpoints better, and has no problem in target seperation. I got the concentric coil because I don't care for DD coiil. My mineralized soil here reads 80 on AT Pro and concentrics here work just fine.

It would make for interesting reading, if someone who has access to all the AT-Pro coils, did a buried-target test, to compare how they respond to the same targets; some right next to a nail or bit of aluminum.

But for those who strictly beach hunt, I am guessing that the standard 8x11 DD is probably the best choice. Would be great to hear from those who use it just at the beach.

I've read somewhere where it was the AT Pro was designed and engineered specifically for the DD coil. The concentric coils work well, however the DD coils perform better. I don't know if this is a true fact or not and I'm no engineer. This is my 4th month with the AT Pro. Each time I take it out it continues to amaze me. I do not have a concentric coil. I'm familiar with the aspects and features of concentric vs DD coils. What benefits would one give me over the two DD coils? I hunt for the fun of it, for the pleasure of the search and the thrill of the find. I hunt mainly schools and parks with an occasional tot lot thrown in. Throw in the summer hunting at lakes and river. The biggest excitement for me is the gold jewelry recoveries. In each these hunting scenarios what advantages would be gained with the 4.5" Super Sniper or the 6.5" x 9" PROformance Concentric search coil? What are your thoughts on these other coils? Your experiences? Your input is greatly appreciated. I believe that search coils are tools to assist me in getting me what I want and that the 5x8 DD coil is truly one performing coil that is a must addition to the arsenal.
