Can the AT Max take regular plug in headphones as well ? Reason is I'm hard of hearing and don't think the wireless have enough volume to help me hear the tones that plug in phones like Grey Ghosts have.

yes, you can still buy the headphone adaptor and plug them in to it or you can by just the zlynk receiver and then plug your headphones into that and still be wireless to the detector(it would be a setup like the wireless setup for the minelab ctx)
