AT Max ground question

Another quick question from a newbie. I search in soil that is a heavy clay type of dirt. When I ground balance the unit I am normally between 88-90. How much does the clay soil affect the depth of the unit? Will clay soil cut down on how deep the unit reads? Would adding a couple more steps manually in the ground balance make the unit work better? Just a thought..

It's hard to know how much mineralization your clay has? But, your numbers are fairly close to mine. You should be getting some decent depth with your unit. If not sure, ground balance it, and set your sensitivity as high as possible to maintain a stable audio.

Good luck!

Thanks. I have been decent depth. As I was swinging the coil it got me thinking how much mineral in the soil could cause issues with the unit.
