At little over a week running the CTX

I had the CTX for a little over a week now and got out a total of five times. The first time out I went to a park I have been detecting for years. I picked the worst spot with a lot of iron and other trash that I just could not detect with the Explorer XS other than finding clad down to 3 inches. First thing I noticed is how fast the machine was compared to the XS. I dug a few 5 inch deep target s 12/22 that turned out to be pull tabs, as I expected. Then I got a deeper 12/13-14 at 8 inches and got a 1936 buffy in bone dry ground. My hunt was cut short because of rain and I was not dressed for it.

Second hunt was in an area that 3 of us pounded to death over the past 6 months that was about 50

You made some very impressive finds Mike :clapping:

Thanks Larry I'm still learning the CTX. It's tough to not use the Explorer XS after over ten years using it. I know those sounds all to well and I can tell when I'm over a silver coin. I have not figured out how to tell with the CTX or if you can since the silver I found so far acted the same as clad. I'm running it in ground coin for now but will try the other settings when I get a little more time on the machine.

great job on find some silver in an old area that was worked over. I Know after nearly 2 months on the CTX hunting atleast 10-15 hrs a week I still have a lot to learn and my explorer SE ways still pop up I have to remind myself this is a whole different animal. I do love the CTX I think it is just amazing congrats on a great start.

Great finds Mike as you can see there is still coins out there hidden in iron and junk.
