I really like this detector, but I have hearing loss in 1 ear, and I am having some trouble with all of the sounds this unit is filling my ears with. It looks like I'm going to have a longer learning curve than some, but like all good Blind Hogs, I will find that elusive acorn in the end!

You will do just fine! I bet your good ear compensates a lot for the other one.

Don't worry about it. Set your iron disc at 40 and dig everything that beeps. You won't miss a thing!
