AT IRON AUDIO ??

It seems like a great feature, but I want to make sure I understand what the iron audio feature is doing.

Let's say you set the iron disc to 35, in theory any metal that registers on the detector under 35 will be silent, and metal between 35-40 will grunt. If you get a grunter, with some mid or high tone mixed in, and you hit the iron audio button, effectively there will be zero disc in the range that you have your iron disc covering?

It seems that in operation it is actually only allowing (for the most part) the non-ferrous conductor to sound off.

TIA,
Brian

Study the chart on page 28 of the manual. It shows how the tones will sound off with iron audio off and on and also iron discrimination at zero or 20.

Hope this helps
