At Home.....

I am having a blast just scanning my yard. The ground is still frozen till you get to 3 inches and there is soft dirt. I am doing alot of practicing for the upcoming season. I am perfectly happy finding anything. I am up to 4.37 in change for the purchase of my batteries. I hope that all that are snow bound are able to get out soon. I wish everyone a safe and prosperous season . Good luck to all.

While you at it - mark your spots. This way when it thaws you'll go right to the goodies. You can buy a bundle of marking flags at Lowe's or Home Depot. Whatever you have as long as you can see them. Don't forget to sweep your yard north to south then east to west. You will hit a few more targets that way.

can i ask what the significance of north to south then east to west is? I am very new and haven't heard of this is why i ask.

Thanks!

Don't take it literal. It simply means to cover your area detecting back and forth one way then turning 90 degrees and covering the same ground. If you want you could also detect SW to NE then NW to SE. This way your covering the same ground in three different directions.
