AT Gold with 4.5" coil, what kind of depth are you getting with it?

Frank, I thought I remembered a post of two a while back of it being used. The 5x8 will get you much better depth and separates great, however. HH jim tn

Its a different detector but using the 4.5 on my ace 250 I was getting quarters sometimes at 5 to 6 inches believe it or not, that really impressed me for such a small coil....but since that is right at or past the normal effective range a lot depends on soil type and moisture , dry soil usually seems to limit depth effectiveness. Also anything smaller than a quarter I didnt find as deep. I have not tried one on the AT pro yet but Im guessing the depth range may be about the same.

5 to 6" and it gives a good deal smaller footprint than the stock coil so you get even better separation.

Like all small coils, you just have to choose where to use it to get the best results.
