AT Gold wading?

I routinely find small jewelry items freshwater hunting with my ATP. Chains without large clasps or pendants are tough being the detector "sees" a link not the whole chain.
I found small gold and silver bracelets / chains with my ATPro.
This 14K gold one weighs 4 dwt and the signal was bouncing low to mid tone and the VDI jumped accordingly. These aren't going to lock on and the swim area was void of coins and tabs - I was too late after Labor Day. I made a decision to dig all bouncing signals knowing my odds for a chain depended upon this. 1st bouncer
I would think the ATGold with it's slightly higher frequency than the Pro would do well in fresh water on small gold.
