I'm curious as to what the deepest coin you've found and what the soil conditions were as far as mineralization. I've got some bad mineralization where I live in north Georgia and the deepest coin I've dug was a silver washington at around 9-10".

Dude...thats pretty deep...probably right at the very limit of most any machine out there, In mild soil!...I am amazed you found it in the dirt you work, that is some nasty stuff! Let alone were able to excavate it! ..That said, I am amazed at the depth of some coins coming out of the beach I hunt with the Pro, even 3 clicks down from full sens....through all the black sand layers and all...I'm interested in hearing what some other guys found depth wise...
Mud

Mud it was one of those targets that gave a very soft whisper of a tone and absolutely no ID. And the area I found it in was very moist dirt not the hard packed red clay that you need a backhoe to dig into. The soil conditions here are very unpredictable it seems like they change every ten feet I constantly re-ground balance my machine to make sure I'm getting maximum depth and performance. I kinda wish they added a auto tracking option to this machine.

Coke cans can easily ring at 50 cm (20 inches)...
Chunks of rusty iron can sometimes ring higher towards 76...85 when underground... Once dug out, readings drop back down to iron...

Depth of coin is relative to it's size, orientation to the coil and composition including how much/type of oxidation. Having said that, the AT Gold is real hot on small objects, and the AT Gold to true all metal mode is very deep. Below are some results using the 5" x 8" blunted coil. You will get even more depth using the larger coils.

what coil was you useing and what mode was you in thanks

I was using the 8.5x11" coil mode 1 sensitivity one bar from max and iron disc at 28.
