AT Gold oder Gold Bug 2

Hello.

I am a beginner and would like to search for gold in New Zealand.
What would you recommend detector.

If you want a dedicated detector only for nugget detecting I would go Gold Bug 2. If you want more of a general purpose detector or need it to be waterproof then AT Gold.
 
Luv my GB2 and Tersoro LST no matter what comes out as old tried and true friends should never be abandoned. I'll buy/try new models ,but keep oldies but goodies for GGrandkids-John
 
The Gold Bug 2 is NOT for the beginner, it is a killer machine though...but for simple and powerful I'd go with the AT Gold if you don't wanna lot of noise and turning ground balance knobs all day long like you will have with the GB2.
