AT GOLD MAIDEN VOYAGE HUNT WAS A HEARTBREAKER

Took the Gold out for its 2 hour shakedown cruise late yesterday afternoon. Found a HEART necklace, a 5 gram silver thimble:inlove:, 88 cents in clad including a surprise 2001 penny from Canada thats as rotten as our Zincolns, and a very tiny 1913 Pattern WWI cuff button about half the size of a dime.

All in all I was very pleased with the Gold's ability to find tiny targets........i've hunted this area to death......but it still spits out the occasional surprise.

Took a little while for me to quit grinnin  when the GOLD hit on a coin ......being used to the AT Pro, it reminded me of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash singing Will the circle be unbroken......AT Pro sang bass.......AT Gold sang tenor......

Found two nickels, that I had passed over with the AT Pro.......but I attribute that to the smaller coil on the Gold as this place is totally trashed out, sounds like popcorn popping. I dig a small amount each hunt to make it a little quiter for future hunts. Never found the first :pulltab: .........................right......

Very impressive. In particular for ground that you have hunted many times!

It looks like you and the Golden One have a good future. :cheekkiss: Blackie is going to get jealous :stars:

Have Fun and enjoy!

Very nice finds...I actually like finding stuff like thimbles and all...Gets my mind dreaming about the past...

If you had to have 1 or the other which would it be?
Gold or Pro?

I haven't used the large AT Pro stock coil on the Gold yet..........so this might be a little premature on the answer........but Disc One on the Gold is exactly how I ran the AT Pro........I never used any of the 3 Standard Mode's on the Pro... and I only used one Mode in Pro and that is zero with nothing disced out....sooooo it wouldn't bother me for coin & jewelery shooting to have the Gold for the type hunting I do + I have plans for the all metal mode this winter while Blackie goes back to Texas for an upgrade and lobotomy.......

El Dorado's a bully and likes to hit hard on small stuff......and he don't really care if its high middle or low conductors from what I've seen.

He hits hard on LARGE stuff too........

Here's todays short hunt........33 coins.....totalling $1.11 and the usual odds and ends.

I can already tell you that I like my AT Gold much more than I did my AT Pro. I have found a lot of stuff with the Gold that the pro ether missed or sang some ridiculous song that I did not understand

Ray.

There was some talk about AT Gold perhaps being hot on gold, but not on silver because of it's higher frequency. When I first started using mine, silver was so easy to find....... (guess some of those amateur engineers were wrong:devil:) Looks like the Garrett engineer tweaked the AT Gold to be hot on silver too.

...AT Pro sang bass.......AT Gold sang tenor.....You Are So right on that one!

Hey John-Edmonton,

You moved over to the AT Pro and AT Gold now? You use your Infinium anymore? Just curious, I got a Infinium this week and I'm trying to learn it.

You do realize the Tin Man has put out a contract on you now...He wants his heart back...
