Took the Gold out for its 2 hour shakedown cruise late yesterday afternoon. Found a HEART necklace, a 5 gram silver thimble, 88 cents in clad including a surprise 2001 penny from Canada thats as rotten as our Zincolns, and a very tiny 1913 Pattern WWI cuff button about half the size of a dime.
All in all I was very pleased with the Gold's ability to find tiny targets........i've hunted this area to death......but it still spits out the occasional surprise.
Took a little while for me to quit grinnin when the GOLD hit on a coin ......being used to the AT Pro, it reminded me of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash singing Will the circle be unbroken......AT Pro sang bass.......AT Gold sang tenor......
Found two nickels, that I had passed over with the AT Pro.......but I attribute that to the smaller coil on the Gold as this place is totally trashed out, sounds like popcorn popping. I dig a small amount each hunt to make it a little quiter for future hunts. Never found the first .........................right......
