AT Gold first week

TopperColorado

New member
I received the AT Gold last week and with the great weather here on the Front Range I was able to get out three times over the past week and hit the local parks and schools. I was spring break so the schools were empty.

My learning curve has been steep but I've got to say this AT Gold is great on coins. The DD coil really allows you to separate out signals. I've been using the Disc 2 mostly as there is a lot of trash in these areas. But I am moving into the All Metal mode more often and I'm sure as I get more familiar with this great machine I will be finding even better targets.

Please see the attached photo

49 Pennys with 1 wheaty 1956
6 nickels
22 dimes
6 quarters
1 1/2 dollar

No silver yet, but I'm sure that'll come.

Yep, looks good! :clapping: From your denom numbers, Id say you are doing fine, you got about the right percentage of nickles and pennies in there to find a big gold ring eventually...if your nickle count was low, you should be concerned, but this looks like you got it down pretty quick. You must not be a new detectorist huh? Been swinging coil for a while eh? or is this your first attempt with a detector in your life?

Thanks Guys, I've used an Infinium for over a year looking for nuggets in Colorado ( no luck, few nuggets in Colorado).

I'm heading to Australia for a month, Golden triangle, Victoria, and we'll see what the AT Gold can do.

I'll keep you posted.

Topper: I am heading to Colorado in July to the Frisco area can you give me any suggestions where to nugget hunt?
