at gold and silver

two bears

New member
I have an at gold and love it , my question is I have given some thought to a super sniper coil is that going to be a good upgrade or is it not since I already have the 5x8 coil which by the way work's very well.

Before I bough the AT Gold I was using a 5 inch coil. When I got the AT Gold I went to a trashy park and thought the Sniper coil would be better. Never did get one but if you work trashy areas no doubt it will help and it's lighter weight. The downside is you will not cover as much area, some loss of depth, and more sensitivity to small targets/foil.

I use the AT-Gold and love it. I use the ( Stock ) 5x8 coil. Excellent In trashy spots. I have found silver with it. I love the high tone. However I want a NEL 5" DD Sharp coil to see if it's any better in iron infested sites. In these kind of sites I run my sensitivity at maybe 4 to 5 bars . Now I have the 4.5 concentric coil but for some reason I don't like it. I may be sweeping the coil to fast but I feel it's not that productive. Hope this helps . GS

The AT-Gold screams on silver coins! If they're any in the ground your hunting it will find them!

Does anyone else use the A-T gold for silver with any luck at finding Pre 1964

Run it in all metal with iron audio turned on. Will drive you insane at first but you will get crazy depth. Its basically like running another machine in two tone ferrous. And yes...if there is silver to be found you will find it!! Be paitient and keep searching.

Dave
