At gold AM = Machine Gun

Hello folks, my ATGold is going crazy in all metal. I put the AM on and as soon as i go over anything metal it sounds like a machine gun , i raise it away from metal and still going off. i can only stop it from sounding off if i go to a diff. mode . Could this be a problem that Garrett could only fix ? TY HH GS

Ok so the batteries are at 2 lines out of 4, flicking 2 to 1 back 1 to 2 lines , so that made me think could it be the batteries ? Well hell , i changed the batteries and machine gun is gone. So hopefully this solved the problem . HH GS

GroundScanner,
Anytime your metal detector acts funny, always change the battery first.
A battery may check OK with a battery tester, but that usually just checks the Voltage.
If the battery doesn't have correct Current, then your metal detector won't operate properly.

Think of your batteries as like a garden hose, the Voltage is the pressure, while the Current is the amount of water flowing.
Whereas, the larger the hose diameter, the more water is flowing.
