What some of you are talking about when it comes to deep coins. Tonight, I hit an area that I haven't been to in 20 years. This place (out of all places I have hunted) has been pounded to the extreme. (about an acre) If an old coin or military button came out of this place, I would be very surprised. Well, I was! but then again, I have never hit it with the GT
So I am next to this gigantic oak tree and hit a high tone registering 178 on my meter. I turn to analyze and would climb to 164. I then turned my sensitivity to manual and turned the knob to 2pm. I still received 178 in one direction but now that 164 climbed a little more up ( 168 ) and then quit. The number dropped back to 164 but would then climb back to 168. So I dig. I had my lesche digger and I was down past the steel guard on the digger. That final scoop of dirt held my 1917 wheat cent. I measured my lesche digger and I was down approx 8 inches. That penny was deep but the GT sniffed it out. I was really surprised this coin was missed.
I also found a copper Skeletor ring that literally blew my headphones off lol. Never seen a copper ring like this - pretty cool. Then a "Just fun is more fun" token along with another house key with a little wrench attached.
The rest is clad coinage (about 84 cents)
Thanks for looking and providing me help in understanding the Sovereign GT
