Assembly and Tips

I have a problem with the Lower shaft being a loose fit also ( I hear allot of people complaining about this ). Does the XS shaft fit the EX2 upper shaft . You would think Minelab would come out with a better locking clip then the one they have ,or a modification for it .
 
It is my understanding that the black shaft can be replaced with the old type lower shaft. I liked that one better. The twist type locking system that is on the DFX and some of those detector are the best I have seen. I hope they replace the locking system on the Explorer. I hate to be so sensitivity about how the shaft locks together but I hate to feel the shaft loose so secure it with tape so it is nice and solid. I don't like to do this as I think the shafts should fit tightly for as long as we own the detector so no tape is needed.
