yep when i don't bring the video cam I make a good find , Went back to the hill of many nails, and as i was going down another layer i hit something in the sand and it was an ARROWHEAD looks like a woodland point , the ancient peoples lived hear and found the Rum River a very good hunting and fishing ground , nice to find this , also another brass thing came out , it would not disc out until the Compadre hit zinc penny , which tells me it is zinc alloy copper or brass, not bronze, and the pottery is from Red Wing MN and is from a spongewear bowl I know they used it for years because the bottom is well worn, , and one day perhaps the cat got up on the table to sample its contents, and Mom yelled at it and startled the cat and in his hast to exit the table knocked it on the ground , which further scared the kitty, who straight way ran into the barn and hid in the hay loft . I don't know what the oval brass thing is but it has two leather riveted things on it . just goes to show some good things are in the layer

Love the stone point Gunnar. I've been collecting Indian artifacts a lot longer than I've been metal detecting. Do you know what type of material it is? Looks like Hixton which I believe is found in Wisconsin.

I one time found an small arrowhead with a nail in the hole. You never know what you might dig up... KEN. Ind.

Kansas no I don't know what kind of material it is its grainy gray brown translucent I will look up that material you mentioned
