on an island, off the coast of Thiland. He lives right on the beach too.
I figure he and his family could use some prayers since he lives right in the middle of the tidal wave distruction..
I hope to see a post by him soon
 
... but Jane and I are both well and safe. The tsunami struck on the Indian Ocean side of Thailand, and our island is in the Gulf of Siam. We are planning to leave the island and go to the devastated area, to render what assistance we can. The Thai amateur radio organization has a call out for all radio operators, to help set up emergency communication in the remote areas that were hard hit. I was a ham operator for many years (WA6QWZ) and a radioman in the Navy, and Jane and I are to meet with their coordinator in Phuket on thursday.
We will be in touch when we can.
Thanks again for your concern. We hope this will all be over soon.
