As long as I've had to be over here lately I might as well ask a question. Is the Explorer SE still being repaired?

I'd heard the XS was no longer being serviced.

Thanks...

I checked with my friends at Minelab. They told me that they will service the SE until August 2015 or until parts run out.

I just received an e-mail from Minelab on this topic. This was the reply....

The Explorer Se and SE Pro are still fully supported until at least 2020.

The Explorer II is on limited support and we will continue to support as long as we have parts. It

"At least 2020," as they told TwistedTig3r, sounds much better than the 2015 that was told to GateKeeper...

For crying out loud, some of us still have SE Pros that will be in WARRANTY through 2015...I would HOPE they'd still be servicing them during the warranty period...

The information given to me was from the head tech manager from Minelab America in Lisle, Illinois

I think they should n't just stop repairing the xs cause as much as my sense can tell if its' already 7 years for explorer ii xs must to be in the markets for about 10 so I think they should have parts repairing them now cause I have n't heard from any of my buddies that a detector brike and should have been for repair for any reason all these years now. So I do n't think they just missed of having parts . I think this is the right time for to having parts for those two models. Do not take me wrong but this is what I hoped to be at least for people they need to buy a used one right now.

There should be no reason for repairs if the unit is well cared for. The reliability is excellent. The control pads wearing out after years of heavy use is likely.

Hey Guv, long time no see, no hear... I called Minelab about something wrong with my old XS and they said they didn't repair them anymore. They did offer a discount certificate of 15% off on the CTX. I repaired the XS myself... nes
