As I suspected the G2 performed great in

the nail infested farm fields I like to hunt! From a farm field I've hunted every year for over 10 years. I call this the bust coin field because I've found 3 there. I'm thinking that if a large cent can hide from me for 10 years that there still might just be a bust coin or 2 still hiding there!
Anyway, there's always something good to dig there.

NICE! NEIL I remember when you was trying to make up your mind about the G-2 well with finds like that you have helped some others make up theirs. Keep em coming. HH :teknetics::minelab:

Yeah the 5 inch is nice. I pulled a 47 lc from a site that I have pounded. It was surrounded by iron tho. Where u at in north Indiana. I live in constantine just across the border.

Yeah, I am taking my neighbor detecting with me. All he wants to use is the G2 and he is tearing me up in the fields. He has pulled a Civil War bullet and a nice 2 cent piece so far. It took a trip South for me to get a bullet and 30 years for me to get a two center. He is way ahead of me. I sometimes leave him home, just so I can use the G2. Nice finds. I like to hit the field the first, second, third times with the big coil. Then I like to wade right into the iron with the 5. I have found some nice things in the iron almost on top of the ground but masked by iron. Thanks, for sharing.

Great Job, It's always nice to have a detector your comfortable with and one that performs well. I plan on getting out with my new Gold Bug Pro at the end of this work stretch to an older area, I can only hope to have the same kind of luck as you did, Great Finds :clapping:

Happy & Safe Hunting To All, :detecting:
