Art, how did you get the red text in one of your posts below? I don't see that option... clever boy. By the way, I lived in Seattle for six months,

My brother in law was the director of Mt. Rainer Natl Park when I returned from Viet Nam. He picked me up from Ft. Lewis when I was discharged the next day. I stayed with him and my sister at the director's house at Mt. Rainer Natl Park. He and I and our nephews did a 4 day camping trip, covering some 43 miles at an elevation of about 7000 to 9000 feet. We saw several bear, lots of deer, and every kind of smaller mammal that resides on the mountain. Oh, and it was uphill both ways.

It's some very basic (if modified) HTML text tags that Guv has on here. They USED TO BE automatic by just clicking a selection in the Smileys Box. But Guv didn't transfer them over when he went to the new formatting. So you just have to remember them now if you want to use them.

If you want to put in red text just type in with NO spaces, at the front of the text and type in at the end. BUT...you HAVE to remember to put in a back slash in the last set of brackets. If I had put in the back slash in the last "color" bracket everything I'd written in between the text tags (front and back brackets) would have dissapeared and all you would have seen from where I typed "at the front..." to "type in" would have been red. Like this...

If you want to put in red text just type in at the front of the text and type in at the end. See?

You can use color=blue or green or brown or black or yellow or purple or pink etc. in the brackets.

You can also do the same thing to insert italics or bold type only using "i" or "b" in the brackets instead. The main thing is not to forget the back slash at the beginning in your closing command bracket.

Colored text such as I use to describe a photo I usually also make bold because it has more impact and lets the reader know that they are not necessarily reading the main part of the story or post I'm writing. So it make a picture story work better. Thus the same list of colors I put in above I just repost with b and /b at the beginning and ends...like this:

You can use color=blue or green or brown or black or yellow or purple or pink etc. in the brackets.

See how even the lighter colors stand out more?
