Art, here's a little saying from the lowlands of South Carolina that I thought you'd get a kick out of.......

My dad was raised in a little country town in S. Carolina called "Ritter", just outside of Walterborough. As he was growing up he was raised by a honest to goodness "Mammy". Dad always spoke very fondly of her and her many sayings. There is a local language called "Gullah". a mixture of English, French, and West Indies. The language is really neat to listen to and many of my kin still use it. This is a little saying that "Mammy" used to say when she combed my dad's hair.

Little fly upon da wall,
Him got no mom atall,
Him got no one to come him hair,
Him don't care,
Him don't got no hair.

Thought you'd get a kick out of it.
I still chuckle when I say it and I can clearly hear the Gullah dialect.
