Me Buccos! There be gold in them shallows at Tybee when yer tide's not fit ta sail!
The tale ya say? Of course lads and lassies! First Mate Cheryl, Cody Sparrow and the Captain Bloody Jim (thats me) made sail fer Tybee Saturday morn in the wee and made beachfall just after low tide. We'd have arrived sooner but for that Barrel of Crackers we encountered. Rumor was that there'd be another Pirate waitin ta join us but it wasn't to be. Waded into Davey's Mine (aka locker) and commenced looting while the First Mate glassed the sands for other pirates. Targets they were far between and the current had me headed for the rocks so I decided to head in toward her when me trust Excalibur cutlass sang out over this fine trinket. ARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! And 14kt she be! With 5 fine looking little sparklers to boot!! This one was about all Davey was going to allow from his mine this day but for the coin and tab tally. We weighed anchor and sailed westbound for another sustenance stop of burgers at Fuddrucker's before making way back north to our pirate's haven in Appling.
Now's time fer groggin 'n wenchin!! Fair Seas and Much Booty to you all. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Nice ring GABeachseeper! Appling is a long way from the Tybee isn't it? I used to live in Martinez, GA about 7 years ago. Know the area like the back of my hand. Appling is a nice little small town but soon it will be overrun with Augustians. Look out.

Oh yeah, that's a nice one. I love those unique channel sets like that. I'm sure the diamonds are real. Do you have a tester?

I have the one below...the "DiamondNite All-in-One". It cost a few bucks but it's good to be SURE and if you're an Excal owner you've either already found or will be finding more than enough diamond rings to pay for the machine and the tester many times over. Oh, and the price in this ad is high...if you search eBay you can get it cheaper. I think I paid $179 for mine last year. There are cheaper ones but they can't detect Moissenite, a popular synthetic diamond, so will return a false positive.

>>> Groggin 'n wenchin <<< :lol:

Always nice following any good lootin' and pillagin' :thumbup:

I lived in Martinez too till I re-married a couple years ago. You right, Augusta marches west-ward and north. Least we can't become part of Richmond county!:thumbdown:

This wasn't all a plot to keep yer fellow pirates away from yer loot was it?

I was told by a not so friendly cop to leave the beach, unfortunately before I could find any buried treasure....Here's part of the News clip

" A bomb threat on Tybee Island forced police to evacuate the beach near Tybee pier last night....

Just last night, the fun turned into a frenzy because of a bomb scare. Police said just after eight someone called them claiming they saw a person acting suspicious and placing something underneath the pier. Police thought it resembled a pipe bomb and cleared out the beach. Then they called in the bomb squad to detonate the package...

Regardless of how people are reacting now, Major Case said any threat to Tybee and the people here is something they always take seriously.

No one was injured during the bomb scare. Tybee police are still investigating. "

Oh well, maybe next week....
