Armrest rubber covering...

Hardware stores do sell neopreme in wide rolls. Buy 6 inches and can make a bunch of armrest rubbers for half the cost of what one convential rubber would cost...Could be used for a convential armrest or a modified one rather cheaply.
 
If you have a Dive shop nearby, you can get pieces "wetsuit repair" big enough to cut armrest pads from very cheap. The nylon comes in patterns and colors too! Sometimes they'll throw a piece your way for free! Can't beat that!!
