I recently broke my machine down to pack it for an airline trip. When I took the armrest off, I noticed in horror that it had four cracks into the hole that the securing screw goes through. My machine is about nine months old so I called Minelab in Las Vegas. They said that it would be covered under warranty and they would send a replacement.
