Arm support for GTA750

Hi folks, I need some help and I am sure someone out there can help me. My wife uses a Garrett GTA 750, which she just loves. A problem has reared its ugly head and my wife has become disabled and is unable to swing her detector without arm support. As you know the arm cuff on the GTA750 consists of just a u shaped piece of plastic with no velcro strap for support. What she now needs is a velcro strap and cuff like the one on the Ace 250 to hold and support her arm. I have looked at the arm cuff and can not picture a way to add a velcro strap without cutting slots in the plastic cuff and in doing so possibly ruining or disfiguring the plastic cuff. My wife will not let me disfigure her detector making it look like crap with crudely cut holes. Women,go figure. I know there are other folks out there with disabilities who need arm support so they can swing their detectors so maybe by making this plea for help they to can modify their detectors so they can continue to enjoy the hunt.I have emailed Garretts asking for assistance, but they have not had time to reply. If you have an idea or solution please let me know. Thank you...HH Dennis in Idaho

I use a GTI 2500 that is pretty heavy by itself and by adding a Sunray probe it became even heavier. Since I have a serious back problem, I bought a device fror kellyco that consists of a shoulder strap and a small bunji cord. The strap loops over one shoulder and comes behind my back and across my chest where it snaps back onto the shoulder strap. The bunji snaps onto the strap and then onto the detector. It takes all the weight off the arm and makes it feel , easy to swing and light as a feather. Therefore it take very little effort to swing the arm. I think it ran around nineteen bucks and worth it. Hey that sounds like an idea. I will discuss it with her and see if it would work for her. Where did you get yours? Thanks for the reply. HH Dennis in Idaho
