Arm straps?

Beale

New member
I am wondering if anybody here has ever wanted a strap for the arm on the arm rest? Hve any of you ever retro fitted anything to keep your arm in the holder so to speak? If so what and how? I really am just wondering I find that sometimes my arm will come up out of the rest, Beale.

Nope, not on my tesoro. I do use one on my Whites M6 because its heavier on the arm and is easier to use for longer periods of time.

I could be wrong but I think that Tesoro has included an arm strap with some of their models. I believe that you glue on (self stick) velcro strips on the sides of the armcuff and the strap sticks to them. Steve.

I had one and did not like it.

It's not hard to install.

Buy an arm strap that loops through and is held by velcro.

It should not be too wide. It must be narrower than the arm rest.

Cut a horizontal slot about 5/16" wide and 3/8" below the

top of each part of the arm rest. Slot should be just wide

enough to slide the velcro strap through.

The velcro arm strap is in two pieces and each one loops through the slot,

and attaches to it self.

When you use the arm strap, it straps on your arm with velcro also.

The two pieces strap together to hold the arm.

Does any of that make any sense?

HH,[/quote] Does any of that make any sense? No not a word Tabdog . Just kidding, it makes perfect sense, good info. I never liked the straps either, just one more thing to get in the way. Steve.

Hey thanks for the help Steve and Tabdog! Yea I was really just wondering about it. My X-Terra has a strap, and it does at times get in the way. I guess their are pros and cons for both. I think I will just leve it alone for now, Beale.

Any Tesoro dealer should have them. It is a three-piece Velcro arrangement. You apply two pieces, one to each side of the armrest and then the third piece is the long band that loops across the arm band. You adjust it by peeling off the band and reattaching, or simply remove it if you dicide not to use it, or lay it flat, down in the arm cup.

To me the Tesoro uMaxes are not balanced well.

But it's the lightest and easies to swing.

Being that it is front heavy, that weight keeps it

snuggly on the arm. No need for a strap, in my

feeble opinion.

HH,

I lost the arm strap when I stumbled in a drainage ditch metal detecting one night.

So I duct taped a 5 cell mag lite to the lower rod so I can see better AND keep the coil down low.
