what areas in arizona can you detect for meteorites and find a whole bunch of them??

i just read that gold basin meteorite strewn field is made public is it truE?

Ask over on the prospecting forum, someone there should have the latest info. Its my understanding Gold Basin is mostly BLM land which is open to detecting. There are mineral claims in Gold Basin so it would not be wise to hunt on those without first getting permission from the claim holders. Technically meteorite hunting on mineral claims is legal but swinging a detector will certainly not go well with the claim holders so ask permission first.
