Aren't You Glad You Don't Have This Problem?

I was surfing the threads in the Whites forum keeping up on things on various detectors as I like to do, when I ran across a thread about the M6 & MXT that reminded me of the same problem one of my friends had with his MXT before quickly getting rid of it (not because of this issue, but because those high frequency Whites don't do well in our soil and it got poor depth). Every time he turned on his ProPointer the MXT would go nuts. He said it was so bad that he'd either have to take his headphones completely off or turn the machine off while using the ProPointer. I'm just glad I don't have any issues with my ProPointer giving my GT problems, because I love them both and couldn't imagine having to go through one of the above routines every time I used my pinpointer.

Guess there are perks and cons to every machine, and some not even having to necessarily do with the detector it's self.

Interesting....
I have the mxt and propointer and use them together all the time. Just move the
the coil away when pin pointing. I habe no interference problems.

My Propointer changes the threshold like EMI does if I set it too close to my GT.

From what I was told by my friend even pointing the MXT or M6 coil away from you at an angle he was still getting rather bad interference. I'm just glad I don't have any issues with the ProPointer on my GT. That's all I'm saying.

That is the reason I use a Sun Ray pin pointer as I don't have any problems and for the detectors I try and don't have a Sun Ray pin pointer i use a Uni Probe built in with the headphones as there is a control you can set if you get any interference plus this probe goes deep, just don't disc like the Sun Rays.

I love my Pro pointer because of it's dead on directional pointing capabilities, My Pro pointer would go completely nuts on the V3I, but it don't bother my GT at all ?

No problem Critter about your post. I do keep the mxt coil about 4feet away to keep downthe interference.
this sovereign will be my goto machine from now on. Thanks
