Are you superstitious?

Had the CZ6A out at the park a few days ago and the first thing I found was a good luck charm. Not bad. Within five minutes I dug a signal that had two rings in it. One large mans silver ring and a gold plated junker. Within the next five minutes I dug a 1961 silver dime out of that park that I've detected God knows how many times.

I've never considered myself superstitious but that got me to wondering.

Today I took the good luck charm with me to the beach and dug my first gold with the CZ. A small 14K womans ring. Got two other small silver rings also.

To heck with rigid pragmatism. I'm going to light candles around that charm and start worshiping it. (just kidding)

I am not superstitious, but I do find I have more luck with certain detectors than others. Funny you should mention the 6a, as that is my best target finder and luckiest detector of the bunch.

It could also be the law of probablilities too since I use the 6a the most !

One of the things I like about the 6a is that it is a very relaxing detector to use. At my age, I need all the relaxation I can get. Using the F70, which I think is just as deep, I feel like I'm in mental training for the detector Olympics.

Hey Harvdog,
I agree with you. I have the hardest time leaving the CZ3d sit and taking my LTD out. I have finally made peace with the beast and I am pretty happy.
I still love my CZ and hunting with it is very relaxing, more like what metal detecting was for me many years ago when I started. You will always want a CZ around anyway to fight the EMI.
