In seeing Bounty Hunters past, beginnings?
I have managed to add scans of the lunchbox units to my website
http://treasurelinx.com
I have a large pile of Bounty Hunter material, much has been scanned, eventually
will be turned into download-able ,pdf files. Still have a pile
of catalogs of the newer units that came after the lunchbox units that haven't
been scanned. Lots of work

Don't know about anyone else, but I would really enjoy seeing stuff on the "real Bounty Hunters" ( pre First Texas). I used them ( among others) back when and liked them.

I got a used Bounty Hunter as my first detector from a classified ad in the local newspaper in 1979 or 1980. It had a ground balance knob that seemed to be unlimited in either direction. That's why it was for sale. The previous owner had turned it too far and couldn't get it balanced. After a few hours and hundreds of rotations of that knob I finally got it balanced. I'm not sure what it's name was, maybe TR-80, but I did find an 1848 Large Cent, 1942 Half Dollar and a lot of wheat pennies with that machine.
