Speaking of Lost Treasure. Is anyone else having problems entering the drawing the last few days? No email communication to or from.

just a bit of sarcasm,i love my whites machines, but i really would have appreciated a bit more(like a software update or an added feature, rather than rehash already solid products(and still current) by adding new decals and the great 12 inch coil..great marketing ploy tho :) )

Surely the 6-T is not the only new detector that Whites is depending on to stay in competition with Minelab and Fisher. If so, all is lost.

SEF 10X12 DD........ 18.4 Oz
White's 10D2............16.09 Oz.
White's 950..............17.10 Oz.
EXcelerator 10" DD...17.70 Oz.

I'm running one right now side-by-side in some field comparisons with a 10X12 S.E.F. coil. White's new 10" D[sub]2[/sub] is certainly NOT anything that I would call heavy. As a matter-of-fact, I'm finding it to be one of the nicest-feeling coils for coverage on an M6. I generally use a smaller-than-stock coil, such as my 6" Excelerator, but for a little better depth and coverage for those older, deeper silver coins (4"-7"

I for one am glad to see that coil being released by Whites as it is sorely needed and I disliked the high prices of the Excelerator coils.

That will be a very nice coil addition which will easily replace the standard concentric.

I have been using the D2 for a couple of months now and it is a real nice coil Mike and White's did everything right with it. The Excelerator coils are quite a bit cheaper than the $249.95 though.

Ow!

For some reason I thought they would be cheaper priced than the Excelerators

Maybe Whites will run a special

Mike, all my Excelerator coils have been cheaper than the Whites. That includes a 5", 8" and 10" coil. Their coils sure are not higher than the Whites coils. Rob

Kellyco pricing as of 1 minute ago

10" DD Excelerator coil - List price 360.00 Sale price 199.99 Currently Overstocked - special discount price of 160.00

On a side note, it wasn't very long ago, 60 days maybe when last I checked when Kellyco didn't even list the 10" Excelerator coil and now they are overstocked with a special price?

I was hoping Whites would offer better pricing than the normal Excelerator pricing.

They may still do a sale like they did with the 10x14 DD.

My understaniding is that the Kellyco Excelerator coils are made in China and are not of the best quality. The White's coils are made with much higher standards in mind. You usually get what you pay for.

If any of you are interested in the new 10" D2 coil try a Whites dealer for a price there are good prices out there.
