Are these worth anything?

Owner of house says I can have there from the basement. They look iron, like grates of some kind. Quite ornate. House built I. Late 1800's. Where would I sell them if thru are worth anything?
Thanks

Maybe scrap or cleaned up to sell. They are also worth getting out of the area so they don't mask the coins in that dirt.

Yeah...they look like radiator parts from the old coal fired water boiler...my Wife would want those grates, especially if they are very heavy and have to be carried up a long flight of steep and rickety stairs!

Then, She'd have me make a gardening table out if it, or else maybe an outdoor gas grill, but generally I haul that stuff home and she uses them in her garden for the plants to climb...You can sell that stuff to some other guys Wife at a garage sale with those intents in mind. Easily a 10 dollar bill.. That would make a nice outdoor grill top! The steaks would have a cool pattern for sure...a stack of old bricks, propane burner assembly, half a days time and voila!

All this said, if you are in an old house that used to have a coal fired boiler, it might be pretty noisy dirt in there from the clinkers.

Take them to a couple of antique dealers and get them appraised. If they make you an offer just remember that they are Not talking Retail value but Wholesale or less.
