Are there any DD coils available for the 6.6 kHz units ?

I looked at the White's catalog and only saw the little 4x6 shooter offered. Are there any aftermarket DD coils available for the QXT ???

Some time ago a German dealer named Uzman sold a 27centimeters (10,6 inches) DD coil and a 35 centimeters (13,8 inches) DD coil for XLT/IDX/5900/6000 and similars.
He claimed 40 cm on a middle sized coin.
Now you can used ones on ebay, if you have enough luck.
I really don't know if they work.
 
uzman quit making them from what i understand, they were selling them 2 yrs ago. i wonder if a fisher f-4s DD coil would work with the end changed, when i get my next QXT i will try it and see how it performs
 
Thompy, I have been thinking about that very same thing. I would think it might.
