Are there any Cortes owners out there???

Well this is a good time as any to start a new post so here goes....

I haven't seen to much written about the Cortes and was wondering if owners or anyone familiar with the Cortes can offer an overview of its performance? If one or more of these questions could be answered I'd be a happy camper:

How well it discriminates around rusty metal?
Sweep speed and recovery time characteristics?
Depth on typical coins in (if the soil isn't too mineralized)?
How it does in mineralized soils?
How's the ID system (dimes look like pennys but how about everything else?)
If it does okay in wet sand (salt or fresh water).
Is it prone to RF interference.

If you have another detector you want to compare it to that's okay too.

Thanks much,
Gus (WA)

I'll shoot you a PM when I get a chance. It had good points and bad points, I'll fill you in on the inbetweens.

I owned one. Very good detector for coin hunting. Only reason I sold it was the meter was to small to see for me. I hope Tesoro realizes this problem for alot of people and corrects it in there next TID machine. I do own a Deleon and like it very much. It's meter is much easier to view. Only miss the Cortes added features, but in all honesty the Deleon does very well for me. HH Joe
