Are the S.E.F coils more prone to Interference

I heard they are bad, around lines and so on more so than other coils , is this true whats your experiance . I was thinking of buying one , for my soverign GT but i have had badd experiance with the other two exelerator coils and returned them ,

i've hunted around power lines overhead and had no probs, running a tesoro vaquero, but i will tell you this one can't be over driven, TVR told me to back my threshold back to 1:00 O'clock position because anymore than that will overdrive the disc making you dig real deep iron, the first night i tried mine i was digging nails 13 to 14" deep sometimes, but far as EMI is concerned i've had zero probs, i really like mine runs very quite this way and when you come into big iron, its got that nice slap in the face tone and bottle caps are like this too unless they are the aluminum kind of course

I use the SE and they are a HUGE improvement over the standard coil. I found the slimline to key up off every piece of iron giving a high zing. For me ... EMI coming from the ground is worse than over head. Normally i can noise cancel or reduce the sensitivity a bit and keep on trucking finding coins that were missed by other detectors affected by EMI. I find the Pro coil to be more prone to deep iron bounce than the SEF.

The 10X12 SEF on my Explorer is more stable and considerably quieter. I do miss using the stock coil though....found lots of goodies with it !

thanks for the input , dispite my cold reception from kelleyco i may buy one as they are the only seller of the coil and they got me on this one
