Are Lake Michigan beaches productive in the spring?

That depends..they can be, if we get some big wind to move some sand...it will take some high temps to thaw it, and big wind to move it, then you may have a little window to hunt them before the beach groomers get going and cover it all back up....most of the beaches I hunt have been replenished so many times, and hunted by everybody that swings a coil that "productive" is weather dependent....and of course, if its a cold summer, like last year, they are not productive even in the peak season. I hunt from Holland MI north to Whitehall...so I generally keep an eye on the sand movement and park hunt if its not moved any...this spring you may find a good amount of loot in the snowpiles when they start to melt.
