does Tesoro make any sniper type coils for the DeLeon detector? i just traded for one and im not to up on what coils are available for it.
i hunt urban trashy areas. thanks

Yes you can get a 4" or a 5.75" coil for the DeLeon. Make sure you get a 5 pin coil connector that fits the Cortes/Deleon/Silver Sabres/Silver U Max/Golden Sabre/Golden U Max/Sidewinder/Bandidos/.

A 4 pin coil connector fits the Cibloa/Vaquero/Lobo/Tejon & will not work on your DeLeon. Steve.

Here is a picture of the 4" coil.

Pretty much any of the 5 pin connector umax and earlier coils should work on the DeLeon. I'm pleasantly surprised at how much depth I'm seeing with the 5.75 concentric on mine and the 4" is great for slipping thru extreme trash if you have the patience to work with the limited ground coverage.

Ya but 4 miles x 4 miles in 2 hours isn't too bad mascard1 . Might have to shave alittle more of the sniper to slow him down. Steve.

I recently bought a 5.75 which fits my De Leon and my Eldorado. It's a great coil, good separation and good depth. The last two hunts with the
Eldorado have neeted me 45 coins and a silver ring, all in trashy areas where others have4 detected. Good Luck

Awesome feedback guys, i really appreciate the info. i haven't used a Tesoro in some years but ive always liked this particular detector. after using garrett's and now minelab,im kinda partial to a display i can refer back too besides just hearing a tone.
so out of the 4in and the 5.75in, which do you guys like better? or are they about the same exept for size?

James Gifford will himself tell you to choose the 5.75" over the 4" (at least he did me on the Tesoro forum). It gets better depth and the coil just works better in disc mode (his words) because of the short antenna distances of the 4". He told me for the amount of trashy areas I encountered, I might want to consider the Compadre option, and I did. A few more bucks, but it is definitely a hot detector if you don't rely on TID, with a 5.75" factory wired coil and a unit tuned to it specifically. Plus a good "on the go" unit to boot.

Cheers

Dan

thank you Dan, i was kinda leaning towards the 5.75, i just needed someone to verify it.
thanks again guys. i will be on here often to ask questions and post the "D" finds.

There's a 4 incher on ebay, price is kinda high for a used one, my prediction is that it won't sell and will be relisted at a lower price, just my humble opinion of course.

You have to be in a very trashy spot to justify using one. Like by a park's trash can. I do beleive it would be a handy coil to use while prospecting for gold.
