Hi Ron, Their is some gloves here in oz which are law inforcement gloves. Made by Kevlar they are used by the police force, army etc, which are $69 a pair AUS.
Would you have any idea ruffly what yours cost in the states. Regards Pinpointa Down Under In Oz.

I think I paid $12 US for them. I'm sure they are not what you are seeing down there. These are made for the construstion trades and are rather lightweight...I doubt they would stop a bullet but they have stopped me from being cut by glass, metal, etc. If I can get a name off them, I'll let you know. And I can snap a pic of them if you want. Ron

I'm a sheetmettal worker and i use the same kevlar gloves for detecting, no clue what they cost doh, i get them from work.
But they are really thin, lightweight, cool infact so cool that at work we say that its colder to wear gloves then not wearing them. And you can pick up anything with them no matter how small it is. They are also very resistant to cuts but will be pierced easy.

Those are similar, but mine are black and not as much rubber coating on them. I guess any gloves will protect you somewhat, better than not wearing anything and they keep your hands clean. Ron

These are what i use. As you can see they look a lot thinner.
If you cant find them, maybe i can send you a pair:)
