It looks to be a basic no frills unit, but how do they perform ? are they a yester year design ? would they not find a coin in a fountain ? please let me know

I know its wrong of me to presume because Im no oil painting !

hello y have one aq1b with the 38cn coil .this detector is made onely to diving the unit is very heavy the shaft are short and bone phone.all are in realy good and made for heavie duty use.this unit is not the better choise to jewelery its realy good to archeologist and wreckage hunting .sory to the very bad write y do go higt:twodetecting: school

I had one for a few years.

Great for coins, terrible for rings unless the rings are big. It won't detect smaller gold rings, like ladies rings but it hits nice on big wedding bands and class rings.

It seems to like silver better than gold too for some reason.

thanks for the info mates , I saw this unit on Ebay and I had not heard of this model , I knew that one of you old pirates would have something to tell me about it good bad or indifferent ! !
happy hunting and thanks again Tony
