Is there a sight or post that shows results of various detector brands and models tested on the same test plot in the same conditions with roughly equivalent coils and settings?

The only one I have seen is here in the U K. Google---------- Staffs Metal Detectors and view Detector Tests.

Maybe of some help to you.

Just keep in mind even if all is done in a profeshional manner a change in one type of soil to the next
can impact the results in a big way.

The ones I have seen had a variety of detectors for the same test with people doing the test that did not know how to use some of the detectors which biased the results towards the ones they were familiar with. I would like to see a more clinical or lab type test that removes the variables. Until then comparison tests remain somewhat subjective.

Keep in mind that the detector comparison at Staff's was done with the detectors at default/factory settings. There is nothing wrong with testing that way. However, many detectors become quite a bit better in performance when their settings are customized.
What I am saying is, don't use the charts as the final word on how a certain detector performs compared to others.
