Don't like to hear honest opinions on there experiences with the F75. When someone has a problem they believe you're just trying to bash there baby. My opinion is, and by the way I have an F75, I want to hear the good and the bad, then I know what to be aware of. Also how well it is handled by Fisher, once a problem is perceived. There is no perfect machine, so that's why a forum like this is so important. I enjoy the insight from the posters on this site. So why don't we keep it civil and don't jump to conclusions when someone is sharing his experiences with this, what I consider a topnotch detector.---Wade

I totally agree with you Wade and I do believe when a problem is posted it is intended as informitive posting and not bashing by the majority of posters. Yes, there are a few with some "agenda", but those can usually be spotted for what they are. For me, the F75 needs no defending, but I do want to know about problems and how said problems get handled. In the mean time, I'm gonna go hunting, too. HH jim tn

I'd have preferred heading gripes two months ago (before I dropped my wad on mine), but now I'm very interested in hearing how Fisher responds to complaints. I'll forgive mistakes, especially on a start-up line for a brand new design, as long as they are corrected and leave you no worse off for the outcome.

What I find useless are the "this sux" posts that give no details so you don't know if it was unit or user difficulties.

I hang around here quite a bit.... (probably too much :) ) and the only posts I've seen "disappear" were ones the poster requested to be removed, or a while back, some folks who were not really stating their problems, just ranting... kinda like Charlie was saying. Most the folks I've seen here are "tickled pink" to help folks resolve any problems that are user issues vs. hardware problems. How better to determine if the problem is the detector or not than to get some advice from owners who've had some time with the machine?

I'm sure Fisher wants customers satisfied, and definitely want people to have a good working detector to base their opinions on. Are there some defective units? I would be amazed if there weren't. However, from what I've read from folks who do return them, they've been treated very well, and the warranties (and beyond) very much honored.

As for this forum, I'm no moderator, just a frequent flyer :) However, this is probably the least "censored" of any I've had the pleasure of visiting... I've seen plenty of F-75 complaints stay posted, and plenty of folks trying to give advice to help them resolve their issues. However, all this long spiel is my opinion, based on what I've seen. I do know that if you're not careful, folks will come in a place like this and just start bashing something (anything) for no reason other than to get a rise out of you... that 's where the moderators step in and calm things down and keep things on task. If I hop over to the DFX forum, and yell "DFX's STINK!" (which I don't believe, by the way...just making a point here)and don't give any reasons for why I'm saying that, what good is that post doing? If I said "My DFX must be having problems BECAUSE....(list of issues here)" then the long time DFX users over there can help me troubleshoot to see if there is indeed a problem with my gear, or with my methods. If it's a detector problem, off it will go to White's... that simple.

My hat's off to the moderators on this forum, and all the others here at Findmall for what has got to be one tough job!

Oh well, down off my soapbox I climb... if you've read all the way to this line, I admire your perserverence! :)
