AOL at $9.95 vs $24.95 ....

If you are using DSL or Cable as your high speed ISP, you don't need to keep paying AOL $24.95 per month for their basic dial up service you aren't using.

Call AOL at 1-888-265-8003 and ask to change to their $9.95 service .... unlimited time on AOL via DSL or Cable ... and up to 10 minutes per month in dial up connection in case you are trapped in a sleezy sleeper dial up hotel / motel while traveling. When switching you will commit to six months service at $9.95.

They go over board in protecting their customers from the boogey man.
I have had to change the way I do business with my customers that have AOL accounts. As a side business I sell spreadsheets and send as an attachment. AOL deletes them before my customer can see, then the customer gets mad at me for not sending their order. Then I started zipping them and eventually those are deleted. Now I send a hot link and now those are starting to get deleted. This has gradually gone on over a year or more to many different customers. (yahoo is starting to do the same)

Also a couple of years ago someone grabbed my PayPal number and charged up several hundred dollars. Part of that was setting up an AOL account. Paypal stopped everything and returned all my money and gave me a new number. The guy even transferred some money to a Swiss bank account and I got that back. But AOL kept billing me every month to the new card number and I had to call and go through the whole story over again and every time they would promise that it would not happen again. Somehow AOL had connections to link 2 different credit card numbers.
