"AO" reading on AT Pro digital I.D.

Has anyone else had this come up on the screen while scanning? I've seen it twice in two days, both times when it seemed to be having trouble determining a target. There's no codes listed in the troubleshooting guide. Any ideas?

I must not have seen your post when I made mine! LOL.. I talked with Garrett about this and it's not a problem, just for some reason a target that is not within the range of ID numbers. I saw it happen with big iron stuff but I wonder if maybe multiple targets of certain kinds of metal might cause the detector not to be able to ID properly. In any case, Garrett says it's no problem!

Run the AT Pro over something that you KNOW will overload it and see if this reading comes up .... I've never heard of any overload signals that can hurt a machine ......Jim

Maybe it stands for Abnormal Overload .......??????

Well I tried that on stuff that would overload my Xterra and it didn't do it everytime.. I put my coil up against a big iron pole at a tot lot and it didn't overload, so that matches what the Garrett folks said. It's a weird one though and I think I'm gonna dig all those I get just to see what kind of stuff pops out!

It means "airplane overhead", Max is coming in in his Lear!
