Anyone with an MXT AND an Explorer SE??

I am thinking hard about a new machine. I have heard good things about both the MXT and the Explorer SE or Pro. Is there anyone on here that uses both and could steer me one direction or the other? I don't coin hunt much, I do more relic hunting and open field hunting than anything, and am looking for a good DEEP relic machine that runs stable. I am about to start mapping and hunting a Civil War site with a home on it that was used as a hospital, so I really don't want to miss any of the "goodies". Thank you all for your help, I am really looking for someone that has experience with both machines and can tell me their strong points VS weak points relic hunting. HH Joe
