Anyone using the 1400DD and do you think it's worth keeping?

Keepin Mine. A bit heavy so I but it on a hip mount, well actually the straps go around my neck and waist and the box is on my side where I hold the handle with my hand and make adjustments.
 
I would give up my stock coil before giving up the 1400. It's target separation is nearly as good as the stock coil in my opinion. The ground coverage is why I use it. When scouting for sites you can cover lot's of ground effectively. If you were only coin hunting in town it would likely be useless.
