Anyone using the 12X15 SEF on a Sov at the beach/wet sand hunting?

The WOT is my large coil now but thinking of giving this one a try.

Any comments on the larger SEF, good or bad, are appreciated.

Too darn big. if you are looking to cover more ground this coil will do it. It didn't appear to go any deeper than my S-12 in my opinion. It is too big to swing in the water. You will find some that like it. But I feel it was on the gimmick side. JMHO.

Neil, I have been using the 15x12 SEF coil for about a month now. With the cover off it is a couple ounces heavier than the 10 inch minelab coil. It is as deep as the 10 inch coil, but does not pin point as well. I use it only for the dry and wet sand. The only difference is it covers more area per sweep. GH, Don

Thanks to Goodmore and Don. One thing about the WOT is that it jumps right out and shows you how deep it goes and from what your both saying this larger SEF doesnt appear to do that, but the coverage is there.
